Following his appointment by EPPA's General Assembly on 25 June 2026, Andreas Hartleif, Chief Executive Officer of VEKA AG, has officially assumed the Presidency of the Association for the 2026–2027 term, succeeding Christian Fischer of Schüco International KG.
Under Andreas Hartleif's presidency, EPPA will continue to support the development of sustainable and circular construction solutions through evidence-based dialogue, innovation and cooperation with partners across Europe.
Mr. Hartleif outlined three strategic priorities for his presidency: strengthening EPPA's scientific and evidence-based contribution to circular construction and high-quality recycling; further enhancing the Association's governance and organisational effectiveness; and expanding strategic cooperation with partner organisations and stakeholders across the European value chain.
Europe's transition towards a more circular and competitive built environment must be supported by robust science, innovation and constructive dialogue – said Andreas Hartleif, incoming President of EPPA. – During my presidency, I look forward to working with our members and partners to strengthen EPPA's contribution to evidence-based policymaking, promote innovation and circularity, and further develop cooperation across the European value chain.
The General Assembly thanked Christian Fischer for his leadership, recognising his contribution to strengthening EPPA's policy engagement, fostering closer cooperation among members and supporting the Association's continued organisational development.
